What this site stores

BeatMyScroll can store your personal best, sound preference and other lightweight game settings in your browser using local storage. These values help the game remember your settings between visits.

Leaderboard information

If you choose to join the leaderboard, you provide a username of up to 15 characters. BeatMyScroll stores that username together with your best raw score, average scroll speed, maximum scroll speed and a browser session identifier used to update your records on future runs.

You do not need to create an account or submit a leaderboard username in order to play.

Advertising

BeatMyScroll may use Google AdSense to display advertising on eligible portions of the landing page. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure and personalize advertising where permitted.

Advertising is intentionally excluded from active gameplay and from the game-over/results screen. Consent choices may be presented by Google's consent-management tools in regions where they are required.

Infrastructure and security

BeatMyScroll is served through Cloudflare infrastructure. Like most web hosts and security providers, Cloudflare may process technical request information such as IP addresses, browser details and network metadata to deliver and protect the site.

Third-party services

Third-party services used by the site may operate under their own privacy policies. This can include Google AdSense and Cloudflare. BeatMyScroll does not sell leaderboard usernames or game scores.

Your choices

You can play without joining the leaderboard. You can also clear your browser's local storage or cookies through your browser settings. Clearing browser data may remove your local preferences or the browser session used to recognize your leaderboard identity.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when BeatMyScroll adds or changes features, advertising providers or data practices. The date above indicates the latest revision.
